Lockservice - Terms and Conditions

  1. The Lock Restoration service restores the locking functionality of the lock and provides one working key. The condition of the lock determines to what extend the functionality can be restored. Unless the customer has requested this will Keyprof Luke not pay any attention to the housing or the electrical contacts.
  2. The Key by Lock service provides one working key. Keyprof Luke will not pay any attention to the functioning of the lock, irrespective of the lock's condition.
  3. Keyprof Luke will first inspect the lock to establish how much the lockservice will cost. The customer agrees that the intake inspection can be done immediately after receipt. If it is technically not possible to provide the lockservice, then the customer pays only for the intake inspection and the shipping and receives back the lock.
  4. If the intake inspection determines that the lockservice costs more than our standard estimate then the customer will first receive a quote.
  5. If the customer does not accept the quote and cancels the order, then the customer pays the intake inspection and the shipping and receives back the lock. The customer can cancel the order up until the moment that Keyprof Luke starts the actual work.
  6. The delivery lead time starts from the moment that Keyprof Luke has received both the order and the lock. Keyprof Luke is committed to meet the lead time, but exceeding it does not lead to termination of the agreement.
  7. If during the work Keyprof Luke determines that the work cannot reasonably be done for the agreed upon price then Keyprof Luke has the right to return the lock to the customer in its original state. In this case the customer pays nothing.
  8. Keyprof Luke determines how the agreed upon results are obtained. If there is no need, then opening the lock is not part of the lockservice.
  9. Payment needs to be made no later than the moment of delivery.
  10. If the shipping company cannot deliver the shipment to the customer and Keyprof Luke sends the shipment again, then the price is increased with the shipping charges.
  11. If Keyprof Luke cannot provide the lockservice to the customer because the customer is not providing necessary cooperation, then after one year Keyprof Luke will consider the lock to be forfeited. Ownership then goes to Keyprof Luke. At that moment all obligations resulting from the agreement expire.
  12. The following, but limited to, is considered non-cooperation: providing an incorrect postal address, not paying for the lockservice and ceasing to communicate with Keyprof Luke.
  13. If the lock is damaged or lost while under the care of Keyprof Luke then the customer will receive a reimbursement that is conform market value, but not higher than five times the price of the lockservice (excluding shipping).
