Transponder key
Transponder keysPlease consult the list below to see if we sell the transponder key for your brand and model. Only when your brand and model appears in the list can we help you. The column Type indicates which transponderchip is in the key. A key with the Texas transponderchip costs more. Make sure you select Texas transponder key in the order form when you need this key. Our transponder keys do not have a remote control (for opening the car doors). The remote control is module in the key head and is fully independent of the transponder chip. We also sell our transponder keys as a flip key. The key head of the flip key has a space for various types of remote controls. To order a transponder key you send your transponder key to us. The only order form you can use is "Key". We will duplicate using a transponder machine. Afterwards you will receive your key back, with your order. Two different transponder keysWe sell two different transponder keys: with a traditional blade and with a modern blade (laser, dimple or Tibbe). The blade is the part that gets inserted into the keyhole. If needed, have a look at the overview page to determine the type of blade of your transponder key. Further information on transponder keys A transponder key contains a transponder chip (in the head) which communicates with the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) of the car. Only when the transponder chip transmits the correct code the car's immobilizer is deactivated and the car can be used.
In the immediate vicinity of the ignition lock is located the antenna of the ECU. The chip is activated by the field of the antenna. When the car is started the ECU will communicate with the chip and the read out the code. There are about 15 different types of transponder chips. Some chips use cryptography, to duplicate these sophisticated transponder equipment is needed.
